LOST.TV - LOST SURFS WITH NEWPORT HARBOR HIGH

LOST.TV - A couple of months ago we had a contest online, to see who could come up with a futuristic surfboard. Haley, an aspiring artist, Newport Harbor student and surfer, created a surfboard with many gidgets, gadgets and lights. It even had shark repellant odor. We deemed Haley’s design the best, sent her a box of gear, and now we finally got around to sending our guys to surf with the Newport Harbor team, in appreciation of her efforts. We wanted to have the board for the photos but one of our employees took it home and used it as a coffee table. We managed to get Gorkin, Teddy Navarro, Riley Metcalf, and Chase Wilson(he’s on the surf team) to surf with the kids. We ran a 45 minute expression session and gave away some gear to the winners. Best turn went to Alex Maddux, and Best wave went to Mark Sakioka. The pros showed the kids what was up. Check the photos.

Footage of the Top Banana winning the 1979 Bushmills Irish Whiskey Offshore Race in California.
The start/finish line was right at the mouth of Newport Beach Harbor. The winnng team was Charlie McCarthy, owner/driver; Ron Morrison, navigator; and Paul Lesnewski, throttleman.
The 205 mile open ocean course had every type of treacherous type of water, from flat spots to sneaky Pacific rollers to cross chop. In addition, there was the annual migration of the whales and an immense spectator fleet scattered all over the ocean course. As Charlie McCarthy noted, “… sometimes it got very dicey.”
